Cement Technician/Laborer

Overview

Maintain kiln tire supply by loading/unloading tires and trailers

Tasks

-Removes empty trailers from the dock, and replace with full trailers -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Places a tire on each empty hook as they pass the dock loading area -Assists in maintaining plant housekeeping standards -Disposes of unusable material as prescribed -Completes paperwork, record keeping, and sampling as required

What You Bring

-Technicians are required to adhere to a rotating shift schedule, working 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts -Able to operate yard tractor, forklift and bobcat -Able to lift tires ranging from 20 to 100 lbs, and maneuver tires in excess of 100 lbs -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. -Able to climb stairs and ladders, work on catwalks or other unusual work areas -Able to perform heavy lifting/physically demanding work for prolonged periods of time in extremes of climate/temperature
