Tasks

This position is for a Structural Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) that will provide design review and guidance, technical leadership, and coordinated design direction for and structural engineering elements for data center design, permitting, construction and site selection, due diligence, and master planning. The /Structural Engineering SME will work on multiple APAC projects and collaborate with the team that's launching best-in-class cloud infrastructure worldwide. The Structural Engineer SME will engage with key stakeholders, authorities having jurisdiction as well as external A/E consultants and contractors that specialize in datacenter builds to ensure that the Client data center technical design standards and quality are met. The successful candidate will provide and structural engineering technical review and oversight for new data center designs, builds, leases, and renovations in addition to structural technical support for site selection, due diligence, master planning and permitting. -Provide structural engineering technical oversight for site selection and due diligence efforts with external and internal stakeholders

Arcadis are seeking a Structural Engineering SME to work on Datacenter projects with a Big Tech client in Dublin. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert as structural engineer with significant experience working in a collaborative team environment. They will have large scale data center design experience, working knowledge of site and building design standards, experience site selection and due diligence and master planning for data centers, and design and peer review experience. This position requires a collaborative /structural engineer who can demonstrate technical expertise combined with the ability to effectively communicate results of technical design reviews and direction to our A/E partners for multiple and concurrent data center design projects. -Experience in navigating in CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam, BIM software for drawing review and development of conceptual level master plans during site selection and early design phases is desirable -Minimum of seven years of experience in due diligence for greenfield, brownfield, retrofit and expansion of large-scale facilities including and not limited to geotechnical report analysis, topographic and boundary survey review, and structural design review, code analyses, covenant/restriction review, and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), building departments, and utility purveyors -Bachelor’s degree in and/or Structural Engineering. (Master’s Degree preferred). -Professional Engineer in and/or Structural Engineering (Structural Engineering license preferred). -Experience working in mission critical projects -Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to perform complex business case analysis to justify technical design approaches and decisions -Minimum of 10 years’ experience in and structural engineering with experience leading large scale critical infrastructure projects -Experience and working knowledge on land acquisition, master planning, permitting and development -Expert knowledge of building codes and regulations
