Senior ICM flood Modeller – Flood Risk Management

Lead 1D‑2D flood risk modelling using InfoWorks ICM for UK projects.

Tasks

-To support business development activities including tendering for projects and client/stakeholder engagement. developing and agreeing the scope of services, setting costs and resources. -Supporting our project managers and directors by following project procedures, including financial and change control, to actively progress a suite of projects under your control. -Contributing to continued development of the Flood Risk Team via active involvement in the technical network. -Undertake and lead detailed technical work involving ICM hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS and technical reporting, and taking on a quality assurance role for technical deliverables. -To work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals (environmental scientists, engineers, planners) throughout AtkinsRéalis to provide a consistent and integrated service to our clients. -managing, supervising and mentoring junior resources.

What You Bring

-The ability to use professional judgement to make robust decisions with the information available, a track record of project delivery and performance, meeting client requirements and commercial awareness. -Experience in FEH hydrological assessment is desirable with a working knowledge of UK hydrology. -GIS skills in ArcGIS, MapInfo or QGIS. -Relevant years of experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for strategy, planning, development, and or design purposes in line with the level of the role. -Be well organised and able to lead multiple projects running simultaneously and recognise opportunities for delegation and development of others. -Proven in-depth experience of 1D-2D modelling using InfoWorks ICM. -Experience in developing and leading technical teams, supporting and mentoring staff. -Be skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively. -Have an attention to detail and desire to work to high standards consistently.
