The Role

Overview

Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems in industrial environments.

Tasks

-Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on PLC operations. -Configure PLCs and related control systems for automation processes. -Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in PLC systems. -Check and clean the DBR of VFD (if available) with the help of vacuum cleaner. -Test PLC programs and hardware before deployment. -Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on PLC systems. -Check the control wiring, any looseness & dressing of the wiring. -Commission and validate new PLC installations or upgrades. -Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance. -Develop and modify PLC programs using ladder logic, function block diagrams, or other programming languages. -Check and clean the VFD (if available) with the help of Vacuum cleaner. -Check the Power and Control Contractor / relay for any abnormality. -Ensure proper wiring and configuration according to design specifications. -Perform system integration testing with other automation components. -Ensure all PLC installations comply with safety regulations and company standards. -Implement fail-safe and emergency stop functions within PLC programs. -Check the motor overload relay for any abnormality. -Work with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize system performance. -Troubleshoot faults in control panels, wiring, and PLC programs. -Assist in designing control systems and automation solutions. -Check control and power connections for any looseness. Report to supervisor if any observed any abnormality. -Connect PLCs to sensors, actuators, and other control devices. -Check the control relays & connections for any looseness. -Install PLC hardware and software systems.

What You Bring

-DIPLOMA or Graduate engineer in Electrical and electronics -Minimum 5 years ‘of experience in plant or similar for PLC.
