The Role
Overview
Assist with fire alarm system install, learn wiring, panels, and safety protocols.

Tasks
-Understand and follow SFS’s Safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies and procedures. Participate in weekly Toolbox talks. -Assist in cleaning job site, tools, and equipment. -Assist Fire Alarm Superintendent and or project lead with installation of conduit, low voltage wiring, control panels, and other fire alarm equipment. -Learn and develop working knowledge of fire alarm and special hazards installation under various teaching practices. -Keep tools available and in serviceable working condition on job site. -Carry equipment, such as ladders, tools and replacement parts from vehicle or laydown area to required location.

What You Bring
-Strong diligence and accuracy -Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. -1+ years of professional computer skills -Must be able to travel 90% of the time, locally. -Desire and ability to learn the tactful skills allowing promotion to a Fire Alarm & Security Technician. -Must be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement. -Collaborator and ability to work with all levels of employees. -Demonstrated critical thinking skills. -Employee must know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project. -0 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, required. -Read and learn NFPA 72 and NEC 70 in an effort to obtain NICET Certification and skill set needed to advance and become a Fire Alarm Technician. -Efficient time management skills developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize initiatives and business goals. -Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers. -HS Diploma or equivalent required.
