Overview

Create and release PCB layouts for spacecraft, meeting electrical, mechanical, EMC, and cost specs.

Tasks

-Perform independent design and release efforts in collaboration with other disciplines. -Support PCB layout design reviews for electrical, EMC, and manufacturing considerations. -Design and develop PCB layouts adhering to electrical, mechanical, EMC, manufacturing, and cost requirements. -Participate in library symbol and footprint creation using IPC standards. -Deliver high-quality PCB layouts and supporting documentation into manufacturing. -Design for electrical functionality according to customer and internal requirements.

What You Bring

-5 or more years of experience in ECAD Electrical design. -Understanding of industry and IPC standards for PCB design and library structure. -Highly computer literate with expertise in MS Office and related systems. -Familiarity with best commercial practices for circuit board design and manufacturing. -Must be eligible for a secret clearance -Ability to understand component data sheets and electrical/mechanical engineering design practices. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience with schematic capture and circuit board layout using OrCad CIS and Cadence PCB Layout Pro workflow. -Knowledge of generating and maintaining parts libraries for schematic capture and board layout. -Experience in designing circuit boards with high-voltage, high-current, and spacing requirements. -Cadence/Orcad PCB Layout Pro experience. -Familiarity with IPC class II & III standards.
