Tasks
The Future Workplace Specialist is a strategic role focused on exploring, enabling, and integrating emerging technologies - particularly AI and automation—within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role supports the organization’s journey toward a more intelligent, efficient, and collaborative digital workplace by leveraging tools like Copilot, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 services. *Participate in matrixed decision-making processes for AI and automation-related changes. *Support the development and maintenance of Power Apps for internal use cases. *Assist in developing tools and processes to automate governance tasks. *Partner with business units to identify automation opportunities and build solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps. Provide ongoing support and maintenance. *Stay ahead of Microsoft 365 feature releases, especially AI-driven tools like Copilot, and assess their potential impact. *Advocate for and support the adoption of new capabilities across business teams. *Support the development of scalable, low-code/no-code applications that streamline operations. *Maintenance of SharePoint pages and libraries, and migration of files from Shared Drives or external sources using scripting or other tools, such as ShareGate. *Work closely with Security and Infrastructure, and Enterprise Applications teams to ensure responsible & secure implementation of Microsoft 365 features. *Support user education efforts in collaboration with Training Specialists to communicate the value of new tools and features to end users. *Stay informed about new Microsoft 365 features and proactively advocate for their adoption. *Provision and manage SharePoint Online team sites, including permissions, structure, and archival planning. *Help define and implement rules for site decommissioning, ownership validation, and usage tracking. Define usage policies, lifecycle rules, and ownership models for new digital assets. *Develop and define archiving strategies for SharePoint and Teams sites. Coordinate lifecycle communications with site owners to validate usage and ownership. *Communicate with stakeholders about upcoming changes, feature releases, and best practices. *Collaborate with stakeholders to pilot and implement AI features that enhance productivity and decision-making. *Participate in matrixed decision-making for security-related changes, ensuring alignment across teams. *Contribute to governance planning across SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform assets.

What You Bring
*Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently *5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration or enablement roles. *Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration *Background in automation, digital transformation, or innovation enablement. *Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert *Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern work, curious about new technologies, able to lead initiatives, and eager to help teams unlock the full potential of AI and automation in their daily workflows. *Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills. *Support basic Microsoft Teams administration (e.g., team creation, naming conventions), in collaboration with Infrastructure and Help Desk. *Proven experience as a Modern Workplace Administrator or in a similar role, with a focus on managing and supporting Copilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools. *Experience working in cross-functional teams and matrixed environments. *Strong understanding of digital workplace trends and emerging technologies. *Rogers Preferred Program *Experience with AI tools and platforms within Microsoft 365 andinformedon the latest workplace technology trends and best practices. *Get trained in Varonis and understand its role in extending Office 365 security and data governance. *Strong knowledge of SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and related technologies *Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
