The Role

Overview

Design and manage architectural projects from concept through construction.

Tasks

-Participate in the creation of proposal and/or client meeting materials. -May conduct site visits for construction administration duties. -Coordinate and collaborate with other design professionals (in-house or subcon-tractors) who are part of the project team. -Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies and designs for project. -Understand and create full set construction documentation. -Coordinate changes to construction documents. -Research product materials and work with manufacturers to determine costs and best product. -Ensure design meets code requirements. -Respond and review RFIs and submittals. -Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to Intern Architects and Summer Interns. -Make decisions independently regarding architectural complexities and methods. -Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and tests to plan and design a project. -Assist in fee preparation, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of AutoCAD and Revit design software with the ability to produce preliminary and schematic designs in AutoCAD at a minimum, but Revit is desired. -Willing to travel occasionally to client sites and meetings. -5+ years of relevant experience. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience as required to maintain licensed architect status.
