Tasks

-Help avoid or resolve project disputes. -Draft reports such as cost breakdowns, monthly updates, and feasibility studies. -Manage procurement processes, including trade negotiations and compliance with ethical guidelines. -Prepare tender documents and analyze bids. -Analyze drawings, specs, and bids from subcontractors. -Support contract review, negotiation, and compliance. -Monitor project progress and help resolve delays or issues. -Track and assess changes in design or scope and calculate cost/time impacts. -Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. -Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and budgets. -Assist with financial tracking, cost control, and profitability.

What You Bring

We are looking for an experienced Junior Estimator to join our team. This person will be responsible for preparing accurate construction cost estimates, managing procurement, and supporting project execution from preconstruction through completion. -Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. -Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor, and methods. -Experience in managing procurement and contracts. -Experience with high-end or complex construction projects is a plus. -Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). -Understanding of local and federal procurement and construction laws. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. -Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. -Experience working bespoke projects such as high-end residential or similar. -Comfortable working with multiple project teams and stakeholders. -1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
