Tasks

-Serve as the technical lead for the Geotechnical Engineering department under the guidance of the geotechnical Engineering Department Head. -Exercise engineering judgment for the development of geotechnical exploration plans, selection of soil improvement techniques and foundation support systems, and providing Direct Responsible charge, guidance, and mentorship to junior-level geotechnical engineers. -Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks associated with the geotechnical exploration, assessment of geotechnical conditions, and technical design and of geotechnical engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities. -Provide geotechnical guidance for existing facilities and other business lines as required.

What You Bring

-Registration as a Professional Engineer in a US Jurisdiction with the ability to obtain licensure via comity in Massachusetts within twelve (12) months. -​​​​​​Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -6 years of demonstrated work experience performing geotechnical exploration, analysis, design, and guidance for the built environment. -Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering Focus or other related field. -A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. The selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
