Tasks

-Preparing construction plans using AutoCAD -Assisting in performing geotechnical investigations and analyses, retaining wall/excavation support design, tunnel and shaft designs; and reinforced concrete design -Performing construction observation and materials testing -Perform structural and geotechnical design calculations for tunnels and underground structures including tunnels, shafts, excavation support, and other underground facilities -Assist with tunnel inspections

What You Bring

-Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds -Prior professional work or summer intern work in a related field -Possess good oral and written communication skills and computer literacy -Must possess a valid driver’s license as driving is an essential function of the job -Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check -Willingness to perform a variety of tasks including office and field work -Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor’s. Enrollment in other college engineering or relevant science programs may be considered. -Ability to work with direction as part of a team -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
