Overview
Develop and oversee safety programs and training for industrial construction projects

Tasks
-Work with Construction Managers and Safety Managers to establish job site safety procedures and policies during initial project mobilization and as needed during the project. -Prepare, implement and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safe work permits -Prepare and distribute data reports of accident and incident metrics -Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and safety training topics for contractors -Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities. -Educate and support all levels of project personnel on accident/injury prevention procedures. -Investigate accidents, determine “root causes”, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. -Assist in developing and implementing health and safety program. -Attend and prepare safety actions for pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings including inspection meetings, and periodic in-progress project meetings. -Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations -Research construction safety best practices

What You Bring
-Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite. -Sound judgment and independent decision making required. -OSHA training certification required. -Self-starter, strong interpersonal skills required, and excellent written and verbal communication skills -OSHA 500 and construction safety experience is required. -Proficient in MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -3-5 years of work experience on construction projects (required) -1-3 years of work experience in performing construction job site safety inspections and conducting special studies and investigations related to safety and health for the company -1-3 years of work experience in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities for construction projects -Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching. -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. -Must be familiar with federal, state and local safety laws to ensure the organization complies with all current safety regulations. -Ability to travel to job sites throughout North America as required. Travel is estimated to be 75%+, unless stationed on a jobsite (first 3 months of employment - training). -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and prolonged periods of standing and walking around project site with uneven surfaces.
