Overview

Senior Cost Manager driving cost control, contracts and forecasts for Irish infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support. -Leading people and commissions as needed -Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders. -Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner. -Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering. -Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice. -Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets. -Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies. -Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget. -Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

What You Bring

-Qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience -Experience in large, civil engineering projects in the rail, water or aviation sectors. We will also consider candidates who have experience on other large, Civil Engineering infrastructure projects. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence at senior levels and think strategically -You will be expected to be numerate and computer literate, highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and contract administration software -Familiar and have experience of both pre and post contract roles, including cost planning, procurement, contract formation, post contract cost control, contract administration, value management / engineering, risk management and final accounts -You must be chartered via RICS or SCSI -Working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract -Hold the right to work in Ireland & UK.
