Tasks
-Partner with HR and Recruiting to attract top talent, proactively engage with universities and industry networks, and oversee onboarding for interns, graduates, transfers, and experienced hires. -Support a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, promoting Burns & McDonnell’s MacCulture principles. -Evaluate long-term value of pursuits and ensure alignment with core strengths and regional priorities. -Partner with Marketing, Account Management, and Business Development teams to pursue opportunities, support sales strategies, and strengthen client relationships. This includes developing a sales and marketing strategy, including trade shows, conferences, customer relationship functions, and external thought leadership. -Monitor project performance and take corrective actions to ensure targets for quality, schedule, and budget are met. -Support the development and integration of a strong Burns & McDonnell India team dedicated to supporting CAL Projects. -Drive cross-selling opportunities across multiple Global Practices and regions. -Provide leadership across multiple offices within the CAL footprint, ensuring consistency, collaboration, and equitable support for all staff. -Implement training and mentorship programs to strengthen EPC delivery skills and technical excellence. -Collaborate on shared client work and pursuits with other T&D departments and regional offices to reinforce One Burns & McDonnell. -Work closely with the regional leadership team on pursuit decisions, including “go/no-go” decisions, marketing strategies, proposals, pricing, and contract terms and conditions. -Serve as a senior technical advisor on transmission projects across the region. -Conduct annual performance reviews, develop individualized growth plans, and hold regular check-ins with staff to reinforce accountability and career progression. -Collaborate with Burns & McDonnell India and cross-regional leadership to optimize resource planning and technical direction. -Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and designers through effective recruitment, coaching, and performance management. -Support development of specialized market offerings, including EPC and competitive transmission. -Champion an inclusive, collaborative, and safety-driven culture rooted in ownership, innovation, and teamwork. -Develop Transmission business plan, including OKRs, SWOT analysis and vision setting. -Drive adoption of innovative tools, technologies, and workflows to enhance engineering outcomes and project efficiency. -Lead continuous improvement efforts in delivery efficiency, processes, and organizational consistency. -Support QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with the T&D Quality Management System. -Ensure profitable and sustainable growth of the department through effective staffing, utilization, and workload balance. -Further establish Burns & McDonnell’s position in the region's power delivery markets through strategic direction and business planning, focusing on continued growth in market share and profitability. -Monitor chargeability, overhead investment, and project performance to achieve financial targets. -Understand the overall industry market and direction related to the business line and manage a portfolio of offerings that align with T&D business objectives. -Support the integration of global engineering resources to ensure consistent delivery across the firm. -Coordinate with other regional and national leaders to share best practices and align on standards, tools, and key initiatives.

What You Bring
-Strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills. -Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. -Prior experience in a multi-office, matrixed organizational structure preferred. -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. -Track record of financial success in project delivery. -Minimum 7 years of consulting or engineering experience in transmission & distribution, with a focus on design or project management. -Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a technical or engineering environment preferred. -Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and retaining engineering talent preferred. -Experience in business development, including proposal writing and client engagement. -Demonstrated experience in client development. -Experience with EcoSys, Microsoft Project, PowerBI, and similar tools preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field.
