The Role

Overview

Operate and maintain wood processing equipment on the first shift.

Tasks

-Responsible for on/off-loading of products such as tables, rolling racks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily. -Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. -Produce the required quality & quantity of parts within established specifications to maximize daily productivity expectations of boards being shipped. -Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. -Ensure proper storage of materials in the warehouse. -Produce quality and error-free work. -Operate equipment following all safety processes established within the facility. -Maintain a log and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. -Check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion and resolve any identified problems and alert line lead.

What You Bring

-Minimum high school diploma or GED required. -Ability to work in all assigned areas of production and perform relief duties when required. -Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use/read a tape measure. -Need to have visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced. -Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, ability to frequently stoop, bend and kneel, often reach with hand and arms and grasp, and be able to constantly stand.
