Lead and manage TxDOT roadway/transportation projects as senior engineer

Tasks

-Reviews transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency -Manages multiple transportation tasks or projects in support of business needs -Develops and manages project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborates with clients and stakeholders -Bicycle, Pedestrian and Active Transportation Planning and Design -TCP/Maintenance of Traffic -Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities -Performs complex transportation engineering tasks and leads other professional staff in the development of transportation projects -Manages other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways -Works closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT roadway / transportation projects

What You Bring

-Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree -MicroStation CADD and OpenRoads experience required -TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is desirable -Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably. -Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas or are able and willing to obtain Texas PE License within six months of starting date -NEPA Studies, Outreach and Visualization -Ability to lead a project, technical staff, and manage project schedules and budgets -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and decision-making skills -Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production -Primavera (P6) Experience is desirable -At least 15 years of experience in TxDOT roadway / transportation project delivery
