Tasks

-Create plan, co-ordinate and manage asset transfer of civil infrastructure into maintenance and operation. -Ensure that all package and initiative level construction management complies with construction management processes and effectively implement them for the project; -Undertake, or arrange for others to undertake, suitable inspections/ audits for the project works being managed in regard to safety, quality, environment, engineering/ design compliance, functionality, and commissioning; -Keep suitable records for the works being managed and communicate information regarding construction management to the rest of the project team in a timely and effective manner; -Act as a role-model for teams in terms of safety behaviors and values; -Assist the Contractor when appropriate for the project works in the review of Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, commissioning plans and other project documentation; -Oversee monthly initiative-levels report as PCC (Project Control Consultant) who will be overseeing a supervision consultant/s shall include: -Ensure that package and initiative level construction management and/ or supervision of project works is undertaken; -Provide ‘buildability’ advice to the project team at Package and Initiative-level; and -Undertake appropriate liaison with the relevant Government Agencies when the project works will/ may affect Maintained Assets; -Accountable for the application of construction management processes to the projects being worked upon. -Oversee and guide a supporting Package Manager performing construction management duties for smaller packages/s within the initiative. -Identify best practices and effective innovation to the Owner and provide background information, costs, and benefits to enable the best practices to be effectively disseminated; -Identify areas where a ‘continuous improvement’ approach to construction management could bring benefit; -Apply a consistent approach to construction management, implementation of processes and the management of contractors across the Initiative; -When significant issues are encountered these will be escalated through the appropriate channels to facilitate a timely and effective escalation and resolution; -For the project works being managed, identify issues on site that may result in cost variation and report them to the project team, providing assistance in the valuation of these variations; -Evaluate the progress on site against the programme and agreed milestones at Package and Initiative Level. Use this information to provide accurate updates to the project team and agreed reporting lines; -Provide construction management input to the project works where appropriate, particularly advice regarding construction/ implementation/ constructability, and construction/ implementation reviews; -The progress of construction works including identification of delay with subsequent cause and follow up action(s);

-Proficiency in construction management EDMS software and strong knowledge of planning tools. -Degree in Civil Engineering. -20+ years in construction management roles for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects. -Any clarifications or instructions issued in connection with the construction contracts;
