Tasks

-Monitor project progress to ensure adherence with contractual agreements -Manage a staff of engineers, inspectors, and technicians and assign workloads -Outline project objectives and timelines for completion and effectively communicate them to involved parties throughout project -Lead the preparation of civil engineering project proposals -Provide resolution to client and project issues -Motivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional development -Act as a team resource on complex engineering issues -Communicate project status and performance to executive leadership -Responsible for invoicing of clients and tracking accounts receivable on a monthly basis -Assure project documentation and reporting are accurately maintained -Oversee coordination with clients as well as outside agencies and consultants for procurement of sub-consultant needs and jurisdictional reviews -Serve as a primary point of contact with assigned clients through frequent communication methods and lead client meetings -Develop and grow business relationships with existing client contacts and pursue work opportunities -Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other internal departments -Define and establish project scope, schedule and budget for projects as well as maintain quality control over a project’s lifecycle

What You Bring

-Ability to manage and mentor a team -Understanding and experience with basic computer skills are required. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, etc. are a bonus. -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred -Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) is preferred -Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment -5+ years of experience in construction inspection, construction management, or similar role. -ODOT / Industry certifications (ie. Prequalified/Certified Professional, Highway Testing, Flexible Pavement Condition Rating, etc. are a plus). -Excellent communication and delegation skills
