Oversee payroll processing, compliance, and employee leave management at Garco Construction.

Tasks

-process monthly union reports (multi-state) -reconcile payroll accounts to general ledger, resolve account discrepancies, process payments to state and federal agencies (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, annually) -timely administration of payroll processing in compliance with federal and state regulations (weekly and bi-monthly) -Support and/or complete any or all of the following: -maintain employee files; manage and track paid sick leave, Washington Paid Family Leave, FMLA, and other regulations, as required

What You Bring

-Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test -Understanding of prevailing wage laws (state and federal) preferred -Two (2) years experience working in general accounting -union payroll experience -Experience with ERM System, Spectrum ® preferred -Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills required -Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel and ten-key -current payroll experience -Strong organizational, data entry accuracy and problem-resolution abilities -Current Payroll and Accounts Payable/Receivable experience preferred -Confident multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment -Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) -High level of tact, confidentiality and collaborative skills
