Tasks
-Collaborate with line and project management on regulatory compliance, incident reporting, and case management -Lead the development and implementation of H&S guidelines, policies, and procedures that align with company objectives -Spearhead safety training programs, ensuring relevance, compliance, and effectiveness -Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations, leveraging audits, training, and expert consultations -Maintain a visible and proactive role in the project safety process, acting as a key point for safety process communication and enhancements -Engage with business line management to tackle challenges and fulfill customer mandates, ensuring robust support for H&S initiatives -Take part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiatives -Foster relationships with external professionals and organizations to stay abreast of best practices and regulatory compliance -Stay ahead of pending legislation and regulatory mandates, crafting compliance strategies and effectively communicating these throughout the organization -Drive safety culture through behavioral change, influence, and engagement, ensuring safety becomes a core aspect of our operational DNA

What You Bring
-Must be available to respond to emergencies during non-business hours -10+ years of progressive experience in H&S roles, including industry experience in construction or oil and gas -National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation and ACSA Auditor certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year -Daily travel to the field locations and occasional overnight travel may be required -A Bachelor's degree in health and safety or the equivalent combination of experience -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications -Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time -Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with a focus on ethical, collaborative relationship-building
