Tasks

-Document and maintain maintenance records. By properly documenting the issues in the -Take an active role in all lean initiatives as it relates to maintenance. -Quickly generate unique and creative solutions to technical challenges -Keep tools and equipment in good condition. -Maintain and repair equipment. -Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks. -Make repairs to various types of piping systems including black iron, stainless steel, brass, and -Complete preventive maintenance on machines and equipment. -Know the occupational hazards and safety precautions.

What You Bring

-Basic knowledge of large HP mechanical drive systems including gear box reducers, belt and -High School Education -5-10 years hands-on mechanical experience -Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping. -Knowledge of basic mechanical power transmission components i.e. belts, chains, sprockets, -Ability to read mechanical blueprints identify parts and research part numbers. -The ability to work independently and make decisions. -Basic computer skills, Basic knowledge of electricity a plus -Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills. -Ability to run a Bridgeport, lathe and basic welding skills. -Ability to follow direction and work in a safe and effective manner. -Ability to work with the other employees in the maintenance dept as well as machine operators
