Install, fabricate, and maintain commercial HVAC sheet metal duct systems.

Tasks

-Installing hangers and all related hardware through corridors, confined spaces and other large passages -Can develop additional sketches if needed. -Installation/Setting of Curbs, RTU's, Condensing units, AHU's -Work with and manage an apprentice and Junior Mechanic as needed -Installation of commercial sheet metal duct systems using a variety of equipment. -Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed. -All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected. -Installing various types of units that vary in medium to large tonnage. -Perform some material takeoffs as necessary. -CEM employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of CEM Orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10. -Comply with all company policies and procedures. -Installing various types of metal and fiberglass duct including (round, oval, rectangular). -Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products. -Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.

-Attention to detail. -Self- motivated. -Excellent math skills -Aptitude for technical problem solving. -Able to run large defined areas of a Job-site under lite supervision of a Foreman -Familiarity with building codes and current laws/regulations. -Have 5+ years of commercial sheet metal experience -OSHA certification preferred -Reliable means of transportation -Ability to work well with a team. -High school degree or GED preferred or equivalent combination of skills and experience. -Able to work lightly supervised at a fast pace. -understanding of central air conditioning systems.
