Tasks

-Overall responsibility for renewable energy consulting services in Singapore and with Singaporean clients, including solar PV/ wind farm/battery storage due diligence, feasibility study, EPC tendering and lenders technical and environmental advisory services, covering strategy, proposals, project supervision, reporting, quality control and customer satisfaction.Active business development of AFRY’s energy related services to Singapore-based clients, including AFRY’s energy management consulting services (market studies, price projections, strategy studies), transaction services (market, commercial, technical and environmental & social due diligences), technical advisory services (feasibility study, EPC tendering, lenders technical advisory services, owner’s engineer services) for various renewable energy sector projects but also assisting other AFRY’s energy segments in business development in the country for waste to energy, gas/LNG-fired power plants, CCS, green hydrogen/ammonia, biomass to power, power transmission, interconnectors, and nuclear power. This includes also interfacing with Singapore clients regarding their interests outside of Singapore itself / in other countries or regions that AFRY covers (with support from AFRY personnel in such other regions or countries)Acting as Project Manager or Project Director (depending on the project) for selected renewable energy consulting projects in Singapore.Recruitment of new renewable energy team members focusing on renewable energy consulting work. Line management of the renewable energy consulting team including overseeing the team’s current and expected workload.Coordinating resources for renewable energy consulting projects in Singapore projects, from among the 50+ AFRY wind power experts and 120+ solar PV experts working in APAC region, and with AFRY’s renewable energy experts in Europe and other regions.Participation or management of various other technical consulting assignments.Preparation of reports for the clients as required and quality control for the internal report preparation process.Leadership regarding AFRY’s Singapore office, line management (either through solid or dotted lines) of the AFRY Singapore staff.Ensure the application of AFRY’s group guidelines and other internal and external policies in order to guarantee a sustainable and compliant conduct of business.Short term travel expected in projects and to support business development in the APAC region. -Active business development of AFRY’s energy related services to Singapore-based clients, including AFRY’s energy management consulting services (market studies, price projections, strategy studies), transaction services (market, commercial, technical and environmental & social due diligences), technical advisory services (feasibility study, EPC tendering, lenders technical advisory services, owner’s engineer services) for various renewable energy sector projects but also assisting other AFRY’s energy segments in business development in the country for waste to energy, gas/LNG-fired power plants, CCS, green hydrogen/ammonia, biomass to power, power transmission, interconnectors, and nuclear power. What You Bring

-Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills -Fluency in English -Ability to work independently -Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc. or higher) -Good experience in client interaction -Proactive personality, drive and energy -Industry background and more than 10 years’ work experience from power utilities, IPP developers, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies -Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures -Good experience in renewable energy project development phase -Good connections with local energy sector clients in Singapore
