Production Leader

Overview

Supervises production team, ensures quality, coordinates materials, and improves processes.

Tasks

-Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a steady pace on the assembly line -Coordinating material requests with the Purchasing department to ensure materials are readily available -Supervising up to 15 team members -Perform continuous physical task like walking assembly lines, lifting materials and carrying parts to production line -Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layo8ut of various plumbing systems such as water supply networks, water and drainage systems in the HVAC units -Contributing to employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions -Attend and participate in scheduled weekly meetings -Partnering with the Quality department to ensure quality standards are met, including raising non-compliance reports for defective/damaged parts. Participating in rectifying snags and ensuring quality alerts have been communicated to other team members -Working alongside Production Support and/or Engineering teams for the required technical support including but not limited to drawings, work travelers, planning, etc. -Overseeing the production inspection processes to ensure quality standards -Adapting quickly to changing priorities, ensuring seamless transitions between tasks without compromising deadlines or quality standards -Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and wearing appropriate protective equipment -Enhancing and/or developing manufacturing and processing procedures or standard operating procedures -Collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful project completion, strengthening interdepartmental relationships -Enhancing production efficiencies by streamlining processes and implementing best practices -Ensure installing various HVAC components including damper, sumps, frames and door handles are done while maintaining quality standards -Conducting periodic cycle counts
