The Role

Overview

Leads engineering quality across nuclear projects, managing QMS, assessments, and compliance.

Tasks

-Review revision control for design changes, deviations, and RFIs. -Stand up the QMS on projects; compliant with company, owner, and NRC/DOE requirements. -Facilitate risk identification and tracking. -Assist with building PowerBI. -Roll up project and district reporting. -Monitor high-risk deliverables. -Change and Document Control -Trend nonconformances, lead root cause analysis, and track corrective actions to closure. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Build Quality Plans. -Partner with estimating, procurement, construction, and warranty. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Assist the Nuclear District Quality team in the annual ASME NQA-1 audit -Plan and lead assessments. -Ensure Configuration Management is followed.

-Strategic thinking and initiative to drive improvements and align with business objectives. -Design Deliverable Quality -Regular, reliable attendance -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Strong engineering or technical background related to assigned responsibilities. -Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred. -Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. -Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 is preferred. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. -Excellent organizational and time management skills. -5+ years of project engineering experience. -Ability to build relationships and collaborate across organizational levels. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (Nuclear and Mechanical preferred). -Ability to aggregate data across multiple datasets to analyze trends. -Relevant quality certifications preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, Six Sigma Green Belt, etc. -Experience as an auditor/lead auditor under a NQA-1 Qualified Program is preferred.
