Overview
Design, analyze, and manage bridge and transportation infrastructure projects in Western Canada.

Tasks
-Carry out project coordination or project management tasks, including project planning, scheduling, financial controls, monthly reporting and deliverable tracking -Lead or contribute to the development of proposals -Production of conceptual design, detailed design, technical specifications, cost estimates and reports -Establishing and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders -Carry out detailed inspections of existing structure including bridge, culvert and retaining walls -Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff -Collaboration in small and large teams. Leading the integration with other engineering disciplines, engineers, and design staff in the production of high-quality project deliverables

What You Bring
-Experience with Tender document preparation and interpretation based on different government agencies (MMCD, Schedule 3, Schedule 7, etc.) -Seismic design knowledge is considered an asset -University Degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering. -Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in a collaborative fashion -AREMA, CN Rail, CPKC Rail or other Class 1 experience are considered an asset -Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate work to meet required deadlines while complying with procedures and best practices -Experience in new design and rehabilitation design of bridges, culverts, and other civil structures. -Experience with CSI Bridge, SAP2000 or Midas Civil modelling software -Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment -Construction inspection, construction administration and familiarity with condition ratings are considered assets -6+ years of experience in design and engineering of bridge and other transportation structures including culvert projects -Successful participation in and completion of multi-disciplined bridge projects -P.Eng. registration or the ability to become registered in the province of Alberta. -Familiarity with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), BC Supplement to the CHBDC, AASHTO and other bridge design codes
