Tasks

-Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment. -Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery. -Manage project scope, budget, and schedule under the guidance of senior architects or project managers. -Participate in and lead various phases of architectural projects, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. -Support business development activities through proposal input and project presentations, as needed. -Contribute to project design through sketches, 3D modeling, and development of creative, practical solutions. -Conduct code analysis, material research, and specification writing.

We are seeking articulate and skilled architects with higher education experience, to help expand our growing design studio and support our college and university clients. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in developing the office, experience more responsibility and gain opportunities for growth in creative concepts, detailed design, client development and project management. WRA is expanding and has growth opportunities for motivated individuals with talent and drive. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. WRA will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity. (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) -11-15 years of experience with higher education projects and clients -Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential -Candidate must possess excellent technical skills and be motivated to apply those skills to the development of responsive and effective design solutions -Experience in creating interesting and engaging graphics for building design presentations -Experience in construction documentation and building detailing -Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with in-house disciplines and external consultants. -Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphics programs desirable -Proficient in AutoCAD™ and Revit™ -Architect License required -Some limited travel possible: project-related travel within 400 miles -Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture) -U.S. Citizenship required -Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word -Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thorough in their desire to provide exceptional client service

Benefits

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
