Work with the project team to update and analyze the project schedule on an ongoing basis.
Monitors and maintains a project specific safety program including documenting and correcting unsafe work practices and work hazards. All on-site activities are carried out in accordance with Weis Builders safety and loss control/prevention activities, Mayo requirements, and applicable OSHA (state and Federal) regulations.
Client Focus — establishes rapport, and builds effective relationships with clients, architect and/or engineer; committed to meeting the needs of clients
Provides timely and accurate documentation and reporting of safety issues.
Provide leadership, development feedback, and mentorship to assigned associates.
Holds required safety meetings.
Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors and material suppliers.
Maintains clear communications on project status with Estimating, Operations, and Corporate as needed.
Provides input and helps determine any required phasing and temporary walls/barriers.
Maintains a neat and orderly work site that protects the public and maintains infection control.
Communicates major issues (accident, inspections, job site difficulties, etc.) with Weis Project Manager, General Foreman, and Group Vice President in a timely manner.
Prepares/obtains as-built drawings.
Submits weekly timecards with required cost codes for all supervised field associates.
Identifies and implements cost and time saving measures.
Strive for zero punch list items.
Coordinate testing agencies.
Maintain and/or build an effective relationship with Mayo Construction Managers and Project Managers, ensuring that communication is effective and meets Delighted Client Index (DCI) requirement.
Ensure all work is following specified quality standards and working hour restrictions.
Prepares all reports, records, and forms as required.
Ensure all conduit, pipe and duct penetrations through fire rated assemblies are properly sealed and labeled.
Monitor required submittals to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
Participates in job progress meetings, weekly project team meetings, and client meetings.
Adheres to Weis Builders’ Quality Assurance processes, procedures, and policies for all project work.
Prepare and attend schedule logic review meetings.
Maintains assigned tools and construction equipment in good working order.
Resolves construction problems, lack of productivity complaints, and grievances within the workforce as required and with the necessary documentation.
Foster an equitable and inclusive environment in the workplace.
Ensures work being completed is consistent with client expectations.
Priority Setting — focuses efforts and time on what’s most important by identifying the critical few priorities; plans for and adjusts to problems and roadblocks; creates a focus for self and others
Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules based on the overall job schedule.
Monitor Subcontractor workforce to ensure the schedule is being met.
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite office.
Attends pre-bid meetings and provides man-hour input to Estimator.
Inspect subcontractor’s work for quality compliance.
Track subcontractor time and material work as required.
Plan and supervise work of field associates, subcontractors, and vendors—includes determining method of construction, staffing levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules.
Inspect material for quality compliance.
Responsible for the project schedule to meet and beat client expectations.
Conduct document reviews with subcontractors prior to work starting.
Keeps off-site storage unit neat and orderly.
Assists with developing project schedules with Weis Project Manager.

Functional/Technical Skills — deep understanding of construction management processes, building codes, safety regulations, and trades (testing, concrete, masonry, metals, carpentry, woodwork, roofing, insulation, windows/doors, drywall, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical) required for successful completion of the project.
Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, impairment by drug, alcohol or cannabis could threaten the health and safety of yourself or another person and therefor the company refuses the right to hire and will conduct random drug tests for this role.

Position requires working overtime and weekends as needed to meet the project schedule deadlines.

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare facility environment

OSHA 30 training is required
Decision Making — able to make strong, well-documented decisions in a timely manner
Management Courage — makes sure all parties know if they are meeting expectations; steps up to problems with persons/situations; is not afraid to take action when necessary
Communicate effectively and regularly with Weis Project Manager and General Foreman.
