Maintenance Foreman

Tasks

-Review work area with safety Manager -Track and record all capital expenditures for plant projects so that accounts payable can keep an accurate up to date budget. -Follow all OSHA and ANSI regulations. -Keep and inventory of specific parts to eliminate down time. -Ensure that all scheduled maintenance tasks are accomplished. -Make sure preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. -Report to Plant Manager on Purchase orders -Internally works closely with all operators to identify problems with equipment. Also, works with bed foreman and production personnel to make the job of pouring the concrete easier for them. -Ensure equipment is safe and reliable. -Implement safety program and training (Certification of Uniloader / Bobcat, End loader, Forklift, etc.) -Reduce the number of vendors to realize potential savings. -To continually reduce equipment down time -Supervise crew in manner that supports the PDM Objectives of being a low-cost producer and high-quality provider. -Make sure all equipment is operating safely. -Maintain equipment records including all costs being spent on each piece of equipment. -Track and maintain inventory log of parts so that we do not end up with overstock. -Keep management notified of major expenses. -Inspect and repair equipment. -Educate employees on company safety policies and procedures and enforce compliance. -Keep shop area clean/orderly. -Ensure production goals are met each day (no missed pours because of equipment failure) -Correct Safety Hazards, poor behavior, and unsafe actions immediately. -Responsible for growing and managing the preventative maintenance program. -If a piece of equipment is found to be unsafe, make sure it is locked and tagged out and not used until the repairs have been made. -Maintain all trailer inspections and repairs are DOT compliant. -Externally maintains good public relations with vendors, outside contractors, and other companies, etc. -Work closely with affiliated plants to best manage inventory and purchasing requirements.
