Senior Engineer, Electrical Maintenance (Elect Maint Sect - PG - Das)

Description

• Monitor and analyze failure reports, identify bad actors (RCA) and initiate corrective actions and develop
• Carry out Technical Evaluation of bids related to Service Work Orders and Service Agreements.
• Ensure smooth integration of new facilities such as modification/up gradation of existing facilities and
• Provide support to technical and minor projects for developing scope, execution & commission. To
• Conduct site engineering study to determine the feasibility of introducing modification to increase
• Ensure the availability and reliability of Electrical system/equipment.
• Troubleshoot and analyse complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions to ensure that
• Coordinate with Projects, Engineering and Integrity & OE divisions (TE, OE, PX) for any studies / site
• Co-ordinate with ADNOC Refinery/GUP for any work and switching activities.(Specific to Ruwais).
• Represent the Plant in the Power GRID for power co-ordination and studies.
• Maintain Electrical equipment in line with HSECES guidelines and ensure compliance to MAT
• Carry out periodical review and advice on updating material stock and directs revision of specifications.
• Develop and optimise Vendor, OEM and specialist contractor support and arrange specialist services.
• Co-ordinate with TRANSCO / ADWEA / ADNOC-OS / Habshan-5 (SGP) any work and switching
• Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording
• Develop comprehensive monthly & Annual Management Information System report covering all the
• Initiate and review plant change requests as per company procedure to equipment, units and plants
• Develop scope of work for major overhauls of electrical equipment & work service orders and
• Diagnose, analyse and carry out root cause failure analysis, highlight reasons for equipment failure and
• Evaluate and ensure that the Contractors designs are in accordance with the scope of work and facilities
• Study and carry out residual life assessment of critical electrical equipment and suggest corrective
• Follow the guidelines mentioned in Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) Electrical Safety Procedures(ESP) to
• Compile/provide input for preparation of Division/department Capital, EOM, MM, Operating, and 5 Yearbusiness
• Closely monitor the Electrical contractor activities, by conducting audit and weekly meeting to highlight

Requirements

• Witnesses as required, the Factory and Site Acceptance Tests, pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Fair knowledge and experience on PLC integration with Power Management System with latest
• 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of Electrical equipment within a large industrial
• Knowledge about specification of Transformers, switchgears, motor controls, protection control system,
• Good knowledge about monitoring and predictive maintenance programs associated with electrical
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to the oil & gas industries (API, ANSI, NEMA,
• Good knowledge about electrical safety requirements and HSE procedures & practices
• Expertise in resolving complex Engineering and maintenance issues such as HV installations and
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
