Tasks
-Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels, implementing effective inventory systems such as MRP, Kanban, or Just-in-Time. -Lead and mentor a small materials team, promoting engagement, growth, and strong communication across departments. -Source and negotiate with suppliers, maintaining reliable relationships and ensuring material quality and cost efficiency. -Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving accuracy, and increasing operational efficiency. -Prepare reports and forecasts to support decision-making and monitor key supply chain performance indicators. -Utilize ERP/MRP systems to ensure data accuracy, traceability, and efficient materials flow. -Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Scheduling, and Engineering to align material availability with production schedules. -Oversee all materials planning, purchasing, and distribution activities to ensure consistent production support and on-time delivery. -Track vendor performance and quality metrics, addressing non-conformances and supporting ongoing improvement initiatives. -Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across departments. -Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production setting. -Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline is an asset -Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. -Proven skills in supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization. -Minimum 5 years of experience in materials, inventory, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. -Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (asset). -Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel proficiency for analysis and forecasting. -1+ years of demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing small teams or cross-functional groups.
