Civil Engineer

Overview

Design civil projects for commercial, residential, municipal sites.

Tasks

-Support all phases of project development, including conceptual design, construction documentation, and project administration. -Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers on design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest. -Contribute to proposal writing and project marketing efforts, as needed -Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and present design solutions -Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc. -Conduct site analysis, research local codes, and assist in project permitting -Assist in the design and development of site plans, landscape plans, grading plans and illustrative graphics for parks, streetscapes, trail systems, civic spaces, and commercial developments

What You Bring

-Experience in design and plan preparations. -Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or other modeling programs required. -Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills -Bachelors or higher in Civil Engineering -At least 4 years of related experience -EIT required -Ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire (Preferred).
