Oversee resident-centered activity programs and outreach in senior living.

Tasks
Ensure a variety of appropriate and personalized activities which incorporates all dimensions wellness and are available throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation Maintains the PSL Activity & Program Guidebook which includes tracking daily which residents exhibit interest and participate in which activities. Do it daily! Use the resident’s demographic profile information to organize small groups or clubs that address those similar needs and preferences in a small group/club setting Schedules, communicates, assist with facilitation and records monthly resident Council Assist residents to and from activity room (s) when necessary In memory care assist the residents to and from Life Skills and other normalizing life enriching activities and routine and assist with engagement Assist in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs and crafts Participates in the Personalized Service Plans (PSP) The Program and Outreach Director is responsible for developing, leading and overseeing a resident centered activities and outreach program that promotes and integrates the Phoenix Senior Living philosophy to incorporate wellness in all aspects of the seniors’ lives we serve. Ensuring all dimensions (emotional, sense of purpose, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual) are incorporated into the services we provide and embrace. Responsibilities include but not limited to assisting in recruiting, hiring and training of the Assistant Program and Outreach Director.

What You Bring
Reach:Occasionally, 3 feet Associate will lift / carry (Maximum lbs.) Understands the recognition of resident changes in condition, takes appropriate action Height of lift: 3 – 4 feet Simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, fine manipulation Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care preferred 30-60 minutes, 1 - 2 times a week Squat: Frequently 1 – 3 years’ experience in senior living/skilled nursing activity & event planning which may include moderate to large event planning responsibilities outside the senior living industry Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology or other course of study that relates to service to the elderly, preferred. Occasionally: 70 lbs. Must have demonstrated Leadership capabilities Occasionally: 150 lbs. Distance of carry: 30 yards
