The Role

Overview

Lead design and delivery of BRT projects, managing teams, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.

Tasks

-Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans. -Coordinate with transit agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders to ensure project success. -Oversee multidisciplinary teams through all project phases—from conceptual design through construction. -Lead engineering efforts for BRT projects, including roadway design, drainage design, maintenance of traffic, station design, civil/site grading, and transit signal priority systems. -Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence. -Serve as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead on complex BRT and multimodal transit projects. -Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client engagement, and strategic pursuits. -Ensure compliance with FTA guidelines, local agency standards, and applicable codes.

What You Bring

-BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills. -Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects. -Strong understanding of engineering standards, permitting, and regulatory processes. -Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.) license required (must obtain Louisiana and or Texas PE certification within 18 months) -Familiarity with transit agencies and regional transportation priorities. -Experience with transit infrastructure design, including LRT, BRT, and commuter rail. -Experience in engineering project delivery, including design and construction phases.
