The Role

Overview

Conduct bridge and highway structure inspections, reporting and CAD drafting.

Tasks

-Develop inspection reports, inspection field sketches in CAD, photo appendices and inspection finding recommendations -Perform field inspections as a team leader to evaluate existing conditions, documents findings and record measurements in the field -Operate inspection equipment (bucket trucks, access lifts etc.)

What You Bring

-B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering -FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Certification (preferred) -EI or PE Registration -Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD -Good project management, technical writing and communication skills -OSHA, SPRAT or equivalent training a plus -Experience with FHWA Inventory and Element Level data collection -Previous bridge, culvert, ancillary highway structures, and/or tunnel inspection experience -Experience with current AASHTO design specifications, design procedures, bridge standards and details, and structural computer models -Three-five years of experience in design of transportation projects for State Agencies in the Southeast
