Evaluate projects for environmental permitting, secure permits, and ensure compliance for electric transmission.

Tasks
-Interpretation of environmental permits and regulations to ensure that compliance dates and requirements are met;Independent problem analysis and development of compliance strategies; -Represents company before regulatory agencies, industry groups, and the public on environmental issues;Promotes corporate environmental policy, by educating and assisting employees to seek innovative ways to ensure operational environmental compliance; -Independently review projects under consideration for development or acquisition by Dominion Energy for compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations and effectively communicate action items and compliance gaps to development team and management; -Prepare applications and secure environmental permits or clearances required for construction; -Uses electronic databases to analyze and monitor company compliance with regulatory requirements; -Oversight and technical direction of contractors and consultants including preparation of scopes of work, purchase requisitions, permit applications, permit support materials, and invoice approval; -Independently determine environmental permit applicability for assigned projects with specific knowledge of Section 404/401, Section 7, Section 106, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Stormwater Management Programs; -Preparing and conducting training; -Communication of environmental compliance requirements to development, project, field teams; -Writing and editing reports related to environmental programs;Communication and coordination with regulatory agency representatives, negotiate permit conditions, represent Dominion Energy during regulatory inspections, and other regulatory meetings;

What You Bring
-Ability to facilitate open idea exchange. -Ability to embrace collaborative problem solving. -Environmental permitting experience in multiple states is a plus, particularly in VA and NC. -Ability to understand implications of new information. -Experience overseeing consultants and strong negotiation skills are a plus. -Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with internal stakeholders effectively. -Logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches. -Ability to give full attention to others, to take time understanding the points being made, and to ask questions. -Respectful assertiveness to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law. -Regulatory agency experience or experience representing an organization with regulatory agencies is a plus. -Experience with permits related to wetlands (including threatened and endangered species and cultural and historical resource coordination), erosion and sediment control, and or stormwater management experience preferred. -Ability to adapt actions. -Ability to remain professional while delivering high-quality, reliable, environmental services to customers. -Ability to identify complex problems, to review related information, to develop and evaluate options, and to implement solutions. -Demonstrated ability to effectively manage details, multiple tasks, and hard deadlines is essential. -Adherence to Dominion Energy environmental policy, guidance, and work practices; -Ability to communicate appropriately for audience needs and share information. -Ability to influence others. -License or ability to obtain a license to operate a motor vehicle is required. -Adherence to Dominion Energy safety rules and safety performance expectations;
