Tasks

-Appraise, price, and test drive (as-needed) trucks, trades, or resale opportunities along with Used Truck Sales Manager -Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards -This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines -Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds -Notifies the Used Truck Sales Manager of anticipated delivery of purchases -Collaborate with Used Truck Sales Manager to manage and assess used truck inventory throughout Holt Truck dealership locations -Negotiates equipment pricing with customers when purchasing used equipment for inventory -Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work -Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission -Acquire used truck inventory through various markets to include auctions and customers -Develops and maintains outside sources (wholesalers and retailers) for both buying and selling trucks -Reviews and authorizes purchases; determines appropriate method of purchase (i.e. informal bids, formal bids, negotiated contracts or other procedures) -Responsible for selling all trucks purchased for wholesale -Manages wholesaling of aged inventory and unwanted trades -Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladder

What You Bring

-Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills -High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred -Knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen -Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. -Class B CDL License required, Class A CDL License preferred -Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity -This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations -Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization -Excellent auction and bidding experience -Minimum of 5 years job-related experience required, 10 years’ experience preferred -Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue -This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. -Effective influencing skills which includes motivating and developing new and existing customers -Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina -Excellent oral and written communication skill to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups -Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment -Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area -On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places -Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention -Minimum of 5 years of experience required with buying from an equipment auction house, 10 years’ experience preferred -Strong technical aptitude and understanding of used commercial truck products and equipment -Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions -Demonstrated knowledge of sales and negotiating techniques -Ability to diagnose basic truck repairs
