Tasks

-Manages transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs -Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff -Bicycle, Pedestrian and Active Transportation Planning and Design -Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency -TCP/Maintenance of Traffic -Works under a Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) -Collaborates with clients and other consultants -Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules -Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways -Manage multiple projects -Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities

What You Bring

-Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities -Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree -Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida -A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 6 years’ post PE License preferred -Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably. -Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation -NEPA Studies, Outreach and Visualization -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal -Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff -Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
