Tasks

-Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the Civil engineering discipline on building projects (external works, drainage, watermain etc). -Preparation of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage) with an ability to communicate complex technical matters with crystal clear clarity. -Preparation of fee proposals and site specific quality response submissions for design contracts with public sector clients. -Oversight of preparation of design drawings for planning, tender and construction purposes. -Financial management of design budgets. -Preparation of design calculations for internal and external review. -Supervising and mentoring other civil engineers who will be reporting into the successful candidate. -Communication with internal and external parties via email. -Acting as a Lead Civil Engineer as part of Multidisciplinary Design Teams. -Manage both personal workload and the work load of a small team of civil engineers who will report into the candidate.

What You Bring

-Good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to prioritise and manage personal and team workload effectively. -Design input and oversight of the delivery of all Civil aspects of projects with a focus on drainage and watermain design and a good knowledge of basic road design principles. -Proficient in MS Office Suite. -Experience in use of Autotrack software. -Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or equivalent (overseas Charterships ideally subject to Mutual Recognition with Engineers Ireland however consideration will be given to other Charterships not subject to EI MRA). -Experience acting as Lead Project Civil engineer on multi-disciplined projects (meeting attendance with clients and other design team members etc). -Experience in delivery of drainage design in Causeway or Micro-drainage. -Communication of design intent via PowerPoint presentations.
