Overview
Inspect highway construction projects, ensure compliance with plans and specs.

Tasks
-Conducts periodic staff meetings with inspectors -Observes construction work performed by others, ensuring accuracy with plans and specifications -Reviews and mentors work of other inspectors -Meets with client as needed -Provides status reports to PM(s) on routine basis -Documents work activities -Participates in project-level meetings as required -Work non-standard hours/days, including some weekend or holiday work on occasion -Travel may be required -Interprets plans, specifications, and contracts for roadway, drainage, and/or structural highway construction

What You Bring
-Communicates through verbal and written means as needed for job performance -ACI Grade I or NICET Level 1 -TDEC Level 1 -Job sites will have uneven ground and will require walking/standing for long periods of time; possible climbing -10 hour OSHA -5+ years overall experience as an inspector for highway construction -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Storm water Inspection Certification -Ability to perform work on active jobsite in safe, proficient manner required -Ability to represent LJA and its clients in a professional manner at all times -TDOT Concrete Field Technician/ ACI Grade 1 -Work in inclement (hot/cold/rain) weather -Must have a clear driving record; a DMV check will be conducted
