Provide in-house support to FDOT Systems Implementation Office
Review interchange access requests and lane repurposing proposals
Prepare technical memorandums, reports, and other project deliverables.
Support community engagement and public information efforts, meetings, and public hearings. Participate in public meetings or hearings to explain planning proposals, to gather feedback from those affected by projects, or to achieve consensus on project designs.
Develop GIS and graphic maps conveying complex data through a visual lens. Conduct constraints mapping and maps/documents required by the project.
Recommend transportation system improvements or projects, based on economic, population, land-use, or traffic projections.
Assist with policy, procedures, and guidebooks related to multimodal site impact, access management, interchange access requests, quality level of service, lane repurposing, corridor planning, traffic analysis, and road designation
Conduct technical analysis involving data analytics, travel demand modeling, GIS, etc.
Define regional or local transportation planning problems or priorities.
Develop high quality presentations and communicate complex transportation planning concepts in a simple and relatable manner.
Collect, assimilate, analyze, and manage project-related data developed through research, interviews, surveys, and other methods.
Assist with training development and delivery related to the topics mentioned above

5+ years
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related field
Familiarity with ArcGIS and graphics software
Travel demand modeling skills
MS Office, CAD, ArcInfo/ArcView
Traffic analysis skills using HCS, Synchro, and other software
PE license
A minimum of 5 years experience with transportation planning
