Plan and coordinate engaging recreational activities for residents while ensuring safety and support.

Tasks

-Refrains from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate supervisor.* -Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.* -Complies with attendance and call off policy.* -Responsible for enhancing and improving the SRI experience specifically in zestful activities for residents.* -Follows up on any concerns voiced and discussed at the resident council meeting with the appropriate department manager.* -Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.* -Responsible for being essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather.* -Attends, participates in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.* -Takes the initiative in work, seeks out additional information, offers solutions, and suggestions. -Coordinates special events for residents, families, staff, and assists the community relations department as requested.* -Assists in mentoring new employees.* -Screens, recruits, trains, and coordinate’s all volunteers.* -Treats others including residents, families, visitors, and associates in the same manner we would like to be treated.* -Acts as facilitator and takes minutes at resident council meetings.* -Always maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.* -Provides training, guidance, and support to staff to meet established performance standards and expectations.* -Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties. -Observes and reports to supervisor daily all changes in the resident’s health and emotional condition.* -Provides resolution for reports and documents resolution at the next resident council meeting.* -Transports and supervises residents on outings, shopping trips, and doctor’s visits.* -Responds promptly and courteously to resident's request for assistance including phone calls and requests from family members and visitors.* -Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living when needed. -Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
