The Role

Overview

Assist construction ops team with project docs, site visits, and software tools.

Tasks

-Assist in gathering and organizing project documentation, including standards, checklists, and reporting templates. -Documentation Duties: Help maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports – stay organized and keep everything on track. -Conduct analytical and reporting tasks to assist in process audits, project health reviews, and operational assessments. -Help with insurance compliance, project setup with Procore, budget tracking -Team Collaboration: Support construction team with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting. -Learn and contribute within platforms such as Procore, Sage, and other construction-related software tools. -Assist with project setup within Procore, including team assignments, template implementation, and document tracking. -Project Shadowing: Work closely with a Project Manager to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of overseeing the execution, communication, and teamwork it takes to complete a construction project.

What You Bring

-Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills. -Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills – accuracy matters in project management. -Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Construction Management or Construction-related major. -Strong written and verbal skills. -Experience with marketing, public speaking, and presentations is a plus. -On-Site Experience: Visit construction sites and help track project progress – see how plans become reality and how challenges are managed. Traveling to your specific job site will be a part of your internship experience. -Ability to work independently as well as with a team of professionals. -Relentless problem-solving skills. -A Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with others – teamwork is essential in the construction industry. -Ability to anticipate. -Understanding the difference between causation and correlation.
