We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer for BESS Project in Sydney, New South Wales.
Experience with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSilent)
Strong ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Good understanding of PV and BESS system design, integration, HV & LV AC & DC side
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NER, AEMO, and NSP regulations
Experience in design review, verification, and assessment of renewable projects
Experience with review and modification works for schematic diagrams which shall be provided in Substation
Understanding of power system analysis (load flow, short circuit, protection)
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
Experience in an EPC environment managing project design scope, schedule, and budget
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Understanding of Grid Connection Process
Proficiency in HV substation design and Transmission Lines
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification. Additional certificate in design in desirable
Experience 5+ years detailed design/engineering experience in 132kV and above Substation & Transmission Lines in Australia
Experience in AutoCAD or other software key to the discipline of expertise
Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects (minimum 100MW)
