Overview
Perform power system studies and FACTS analysis using simulation tools.

Tasks
-Translate technical findings into clear reports and presentations for customers. -Tune advanced controllers for optimal system performance. -Investigate failures and assess sub-synchronous interactions and geomagnetic effects. -Participate in customer meetings and interpret technical specifications. -Analyze FACTS plant behavior under various grid conditions and disturbances. -Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. -Perform power system studies using simulation tools like PSCAD, RTDS, and PSSE. -Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the global FACTS community. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, R&D, and project management.

What You Bring
-Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. -Strong understanding of high-power converters and control systems. -Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively. -Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or similar field. -Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems and control system analysis. -Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSCAD, RTDS, PSSE. -Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
