Overview

Operate equipment and perform labor for underground utility installation and maintenance

Tasks

-Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation. -Assist in laying, repairing, and maintaining underground utility lines. -Excavate trenches and prepare sites for underground utility installations. -Assist with locating underground utilities and ensuring proper digging procedures. -Work alongside team members, equipment operators, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently. -Use hand tools, power tools, and light equipment to complete manual labor tasks. -Safely operate equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and directional drills. -Keep job sites clean and organized. -Ensure compliance with safety regulations, wearing proper PPE and following protocols. -Backfill trenches and restore work areas to their original condition. -Load and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.

What You Bring

-Ability to operate equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently. -Ability to obtain Class A CDL -Understanding of blueprints, utility maps, and work orders is a plus. -Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions. -Experience in underground utility installation, construction, or excavation. -Valid Driver’s License -Knowledge of utility locates, trenching, and excavation best practices. -Strong teamwork and communication skills. -Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites ( up to 3 weeks at a time).
