Tasks

You will be responsible for supporting the multi-site, high availability Gas SCADA system. You will ultimately assist in support and troubleshooting the operational SCADA environment as well as insuring optimized monitoring and reporting for solid system reliability. You will be responsible for engaging with the customer, guiding and leading them through solutions, and ultimately delivering successful projects. -Design, develop, deploy and support applications to meet the needs of primary and secondary internal customers -Collaborate with Security, Systems and Database Administration staff to maximize the effectiveness of enhancement and maintenance efforts -Deploy and configure the patches in multiple gas domains -Enhance and maintain all primary and peripheral systems that make up the Gas SCADA environment -Manage smaller projects or a Project team from conception to completion. -Install and configure the PI System in redundant environments including but not limited to Interface Failover, PI Collective, Load Balanced AF Server, SQL AlwaysOn, Clustered Notifications and Analysis, Load Balanced PI Vision -Configure and maintain alarm management of SCADA system alarms for gas controllers, customers and SCADA staff -Coordinate work with vendors and contractors, during project conception and implementation stages. -Design and oversee the implementation of vendor and 3rd party supplied system enhancements/products to the mission critical system infrastructure -Supports and troubleshoots the operational SCADA environment as well as insuring optimized monitoring and system reliability reporting -Configure and ensure that all telemetry and controls are available and accurate -Learn new technologies to help provide the right solutions to customers. -Perform at a high level to provide solutions to customer’s problems by going the extra mile. -Mentors and trains lower-level analysts -Collaborate with applicable parties to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot remote devices and systems of varying types and complexity using all available resources in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements -Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of a mission critical, high availability IT monitoring and control system (SCADA)

The Energy Management Systems team at Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Associate/Senior SCADA Analyst, with an IT background, ideally with experience using the Aveva OASyS DNA and OSI PI product suite in a utility environment. Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills -Demonstrated project management skills for smaller projects. -C Programming -Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude. -Detailed understanding and experience: 5+ years hands-on systems experience in one or more (specialized technical requirements as shown in technical addendum) modules appropriate for the job (or other related functional area experience). -OASYS DNA Suites and interfaces -Microsoft Servers 2012 and above & SQL Server 2008 R2 and above -Ability to work as a team member, but can also work alone, unsupervised -Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task. -Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. -Are fluent in spoken and written English -Understanding of WAN and VPN concepts -Must be a “team player” able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems. Able to work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions. -Able to provide on rotation, after hours (24 x 7) on-call support -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. -Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical. -5+ years IT experience, including several years of systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications. -OSIsoft Pi Historian and interfaces -Have an excellent analytical mindset, paying close attention to details -Ability to build relationships with IT and not-IT Personnel -Have creativity and ability to think out-of-the-box -Communications and connectivity (MODBUS/DNP/Mercury/Pi to Pi Connections) -Are fluent in critical thinking, structured analysis and problem solving -Possesses full technical knowledge of phases of software development life cycle. -Available in late evening hours for deployments/updates -Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills. -Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions. -MODBUS / DNP3 / Mercury / PI to PI -Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts. Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools. Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.

The pay range for this position is $99,600.00 - $175,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
