Area Production Manager

Tasks

-Maintains strong working relationships with community partners, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. -Ensures compliance with environmental programs, guidelines, and policies -Leads large projects -Provides leadership in safety and operations for aggregate businesses within the assigned market, ensuring continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. -Ensures alignment with labor agreements and participates in union negotiations when applicable. -Manages maintenance programs and capital projects to optimize cost, ensure plant reliability, and achieve budget targets. -Leads process improvement and cost reduction initiatives across production operations. -Partners with District Sales and Quality Control teams to meet customer demand, ensure product quality, and minimize waste. -Ensures compliance with company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations -Ensures safety and health policies are followed -Develops training, coaching, and mentoring programs to build internal capability and support employee career growth. -Develops short- and long-term operational plans, including financial, operational, and organizational components -Supports and models a strong safety culture, promoting peer-to-peer learning and continuous improvement in safety behavior. -Leads complex and broad process improvements -Collaborates with district manager and mine planning staff to develop short term and long - term mining plans. -Oversees site operations to achieve efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of people, plants, and equipment. -Collaborates with leadership and finance teams to develop and manage capital budgets and evaluate long-term plant needs. -Manages multiple aggregates sites; typically responsibility is defined as an “area.”
