The Role

Overview

Tasks

-Travel to sites across the UK, including overnight stays where required. -Act as a professional representative of the company while on client sites. -Ensure all reports meet internal quality assurance and BAFE SP205 requirements. -Work closely with the back-office team to ensure timely completion of assessments and reports. -Conduct detailed site inspections across commercial, industrial, residential, and public sector properties. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current fire safety legislation and technical standards. -Record findings digitally using the company’s approved FRA software. -Assist with higher-risk building (HRB) assessments under the supervision of a Tier 3 Assessor. -Liaise with clients, duty holders, and responsible persons to explain findings and advise on remedial actions. -Carry out low and medium-complexity fire risk assessments in line with PAS 79-1/79-2:2020 and company procedures. -Identify fire safety risks and produce clear, prioritised recommendations with supporting evidence.

What You Bring

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Fire Risk Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating fire risks in various environments, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and providing recommendations to mitigate potential hazards. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing safety protocols and protecting lives and property. -Ability to interpret building layouts, fire strategies, and construction drawings. -Minimum Level 3 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment (e.g. ABBE Level 3 Award or equivalent). -Sound understanding of UK fire safety legislation, British Standards, and guidance documents. -Tier 2 Registered Fire Risk Assessor (CFRAR) or equivalent recognised registration. -Full UK driving licence. -Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital FRA software. -Minimum 3–5 years’ experience conducting FRAs in a professional capacity. -Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills. -Proven ability to complete low and medium-complexity assessments independently.
