Tasks

-Work with other AM’s to leverage cross business synergies and understanding and communicates interdependencies. -Support project managers, business and staff on engagements as needed to ensure effective and efficient use of resources and delivery of business value. -Provide an interface to IT: translating business needs into technical solution requirements -Work with clients to help determine service level requirements. -Act as a staff advisor and consultant to the business groups with advice, counsel and representation in technology opportunities, trends, planning and delivery of services. The AM owns the business unit relationship with key business partners. -Work with Directors & Managers within Enablement to ensure the business/system plans are reflected in the annual business planning process. -Assist in creating requirements and following the Enablement Investment Management process. Own the sub-processes for problem definition, requirements definition and assist in business case development for a business unit. -Advise the Management on opportunities for IT leverage between and within business-initiated projects and with existing architecture and infrastructure -Act as a cooperative partner with Business unit staff and provide IT thought leadership in a useful, non-bureaucratic fashion. -Aid in successful and timely project delivery. -Advise the assigned Business Units of the feasibility of specific, business-initiated projects which involve IT. -Support the business in planning activities focusing on the integration of system and technology plans with the goals, objectives, budgets and strategies of the business. In essence, focuses on how the business will evolve through employing technology to achieve this vision. Assist with business unit prioritization of investments. -Align IT to business strategies and requirements. -Participate in continuous learning related to technology trends and directions and opportunities. -Clarify for and provide advice to stakeholders, alternative paths for improving business return and business case associated with these actions. -Cooperate with other areas of BIT in the application of standards, methodologies, and architectures. -Co-ordinate stakeholders to create consensus on requirements which will be translated into business applications. Facilitate documentation of these requirements. -Provide guidance to assigned Business Unit management on IT related education requirements for the Business Unit teams.

What You Bring

-Teamplayer - able to work with others as part of a team, as opposed to working separately or competitively. -Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). -Strategic business thinking - Ability to use their unique skill as a business/IT translator to help executives and management make appropriate strategic decisions in their sphere of control. -Impact and Influence - able to persuade, convince, influence or impress others but must be built on a strong IT foundation to go along with the business acumen. -Extensive experience with the Microsoft 365 platform and its administration. -Experience managing or working within a unionized environment strongly preferred. -Demonstrated ability to identify with stakeholder mindset; hear and organize stakeholder concerns -Understanding and Responding skills: ability to accurately listen, understand and respond appropriately when interacting with individuals and groups is critical. -Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing IT systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. -Demonstrated Management Skills: Client - service Orientation -Team leadership - ability to take a role as leader of a team or other group. -Directiveness - able to collaboratively obtain agreement with one’s wishes where the power of one’s position is used appropriately and effectively, with the long-term good of the organization in mind Facilitator -Information seeking - ability to acquire information relevant to the achievement of valued goals Listening,
